The American Dagger
Reproduction for this particular organism is a bit peculiar. Most of the reproduction occurs parthogenically. This mean this is a form of asexual reproduction in which an unfertilized egg develops an embryo. the offspring is born and has no DNA from one of the organisms that produced it. This allows for females to reproduce without the need for male. In the american daggers case, there is a high number of females compared to males. After the egg is fertilized and has an embryo. the egg is dropped in soil. From there it will mature and undergo a three phase cycle to maturity. The American Dagger is also a parasitic organism that feeds off of plants. During the embryo's life cycle there is no real crucial survival stage.
