All C. Elegans are hermaphroditic. This means that they have both male and female reproductive organs. This is clearly displayed by the diagram. Yet there is 0.05% of this organisms that are male. the hermaphrodites have 2 ovaries and two spermatheca. these are the male and female organs. These organisms usually self inseminate and reproduce by themselves. In the rare event that the male inseminates a hermaphrodite, the hermaphrodite will yield up to 100 plus eggs. After being born the young C. Elegans will feed on the mother or parent organsim .
